The Ultimate Move-Out Cleaning Checklist

Moving is stressful enough without worrying about the final clean. Follow this checklist to ensure you leave the property in pristine condition.

Kitchen Deep Clean

The kitchen requires the most attention. Clean the inside and outside of all cabinets and drawers. Scrub the oven, stovetop, and refrigerator thoroughly. Don't forget to pull out appliances to clean the floors and walls behind them.

Bathrooms

Remove all soap scum from tiles, tubs, and glass doors. Clean the toilet inside and out, including the base. Wipe down all mirrors and clean inside any medicine cabinets or vanities.

Living Areas and Bedrooms

Dust ceiling fans, light fixtures, and blinds. Wipe down baseboards, doors, and door frames. Vacuum all carpets thoroughly and mop all hard surface floors.

General Touches

Fill any nail holes in the walls with spackle. Replace any burnt-out light bulbs. Ensure all trash is completely removed from the property. Wipe down all light switches and doorknobs.
